Why We're Here...

The purpose of TheAmputeeGolfer.com is to provide it's users and visitors a 'one stop shop' of information regarding golf and other resources that can help and or assist an amputee in some way. After picking the game back up after many years and after many, many searches for programs, instructors, leagues or just general information on amputee golf it became apparent there was little effort being put forth to unify these resources on one site. Sure, there are a lot of places out there you can find information, if you dig long enough and you don't mind chasing link after link. And there certainly isn't a social network or similar 'community' to support the ever growing population of amputees around the world. Until now.

TheAmputeeGolfer.com is a dedicated social network, forum and resource center enabling anybody to find anything and everything they could possibly want or need regarding amputee golf and the organizations that sponsor or host amputee golf tournaments and outings. This sites founder, Jason Lane, is a military veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. However this site is not just for our military veterans, but any person, young or old, male or female that is an amputee that enjoys the game of golf or would at least like to learn more about it. In the words of our founder, "golf is the Great Equalizer". What he is referring to is the fact that no matter what a persons challenge is, golf favors no one. Golf doesn't have a favorite player or gender. It does not care if you have all of your parts or if you're missing piece or two. It's all about you, the course and your own game. Handicaps level the playing field so it all boils down to the players ability on any given day and anyone can play.

As TheAmputeeGolfer.com grows and begins to establish itself as the premier place on the internet for amputee golf, it will continue to hold true to its committment to be the most valuable resource to anybody around the world that wishes to learn more about amputee golf in their area. With a forum covering various topics on golf, equipment and instruction and a social network for people to meet one another, there will always be something here for you to enjoy, read or learn from. We hope that you find what it is you're looking for and if you don't find it, please feel free to drop us a line. We are always looking for information, websites, links or organizations that would benefit our members so let us know what you've found to be helpful in your area.

Hit 'em straight and never give up!
